One of the most important aspects of playing any instrument well is the ability to play in time. Tempo is how fast or slow a song is and is registered in beats per minute or BPM. A typical slow song might be 60-90 BPM and a fast song might be 100-160 BPM.

Below are links to two fantastic sites that offer free online metronomes to aid you in your practice. Practicing with a metronome can be challenging at first, but stick with it and it will get easier and you will begin to see amazing results in your playing.
